My name is Cees Priem and I am the founder of CollectieHub.
All my life, I have had a great interest in history, culture, nature, and unique collectibles. What began as a personal interest grew over the years into a passion for discovering, researching, and preserving objects with a story.
While building various collections, I discovered that many special objects represent more than just their material value. Behind every object lies a history, a maker, a culture, or an event that makes it worth preserving and passing on to the next generation.
CollectieHub originated from that idea.
CollectieHub is not a traditional webshop that focuses on mass-produced items. Instead, we seek out authentic objects with character and meaning. Our collection includes Japanese art and culture, philately, historical documents, shells, fossils, minerals, and other unique collectibles.
Authenticity, provenance, and knowledge form important starting points in this regard. Therefore, we pay close attention to background information, documentation, and sharing the stories behind the objects we offer.
The Japan Heritage project occupies a special place within CollectieHub. Together with specialized partners, we are working on a platform that not only presents authentic Japanese objects but also makes the cultural significance, craftsmanship, and philosophy behind them accessible to a European audience.

For our Japan Heritage collection, we collaborate with specialized partners and experts to document the cultural and historical value of objects as thoroughly as possible.

By giving objects a new purpose, we contribute to reuse, knowledge transfer, and the preservation of special collections for future generations.
At CollectieHub, we work with special objects from Japan: art, crafts, tea ceremony objects, lacquerware, ceramics, and collectible pieces with cultural significance. Because these objects often come directly from Japan, we consider it important to handle transport with care.
Therefore, we try to coordinate direct imports as carefully as possible. Instead of having each item shipped separately, we combine purchases into joint shipments where possible. This limits unnecessary transport movements and allows us to reduce packaging materials, shipping costs, and logistical burdens.
This does not mean that international shipping is without impact. However, we consciously choose a working method in which planning, bundling, and careful selection are central. We prefer to purchase less frequently, but more strategically. This creates a collection that is not only stronger in content but is also built with greater logistical awareness.
